Organized around a south-facing courtyard, the house is composed of simple, steep slate hip-roofed forms with traditional French Renaissance details. The main gallery creates the major axis connecting the family room and pool terrace to the east with the living room to the west.  A richly ornate door surround and roof cornice adorn the entrance facade creating the focus of the entrance courtyard.  In contrast, the garden elevations are less formal and exude more the scale of a small country chateau.
